There are many freebies out there that are from businesses.  Businesses often use gifts to create customer goodwill and loyalty as well as a means for advertisements.  You commonly see this if you go to a grand opening and they give out a free balloon for your child or a T shirt with their business name on it.

My insurance agent gave me a calendar with the hopes that I will put it up and use their services when I need to purchase insurance.  We have a magnet on our refrigerator from the plumber, so if I have a leaky faucet I will be sure to call him rather than looking up someone in the phone book.  I have pens from other companies that advertise their name in the hopes that I will use their services.  Some businesses even offer free gifts if you refer a customer to them.  In my Art Rubber Stamp Business we give out $25.00 in free merchandise when one of our customers is published in a magazine and has given the stamp credit to our company.

So if you are looking for some unique freebies, you might check some of the businesses that you frequent.  I have a free date book, ice scrapper, T shirts, yardstick, cooler, mugs, travel glasses, large canvas shopping bags,  tape measure, large beach bag from our bank, and lots of pens and assorted other goodies.

Try looking at trade shows, events, the businesses you use all of the time, new businesses and other sources for free items.  They will always have an add on them for the business that is using that item for promotion, but they will be free!
