There are Freebie and Free things available to us everywhere.  You just have to know where to look for them.  Some of the world’s most valuable freebies are not things that can be found in your mail box as samples.  There is so much free and valuable information out there that is yours just for asking or by looking for it.

We have so many resources in our own communities that we neglect each and every day.  These resources are often free and given without hesitation, if we only would ask.  What do you need help on?  Is there a project that is really stumping you?  Think about where you could get that information.  You might find information that you are seeking right on the internet.  Another place that that more free information than most people would ever need can be obtained at your local library from resource books and other books that are filled with information.

However, there is one the World’s MOST valuable freebie that many of us neglect to use.  That is the resource of people.  This resource is available to us each day and from many areas.  When you were a Scout trying to earn your merit badge, you looked to your Scout Leader for help.  They in turn pointed you to resources right in you community.  I remember when my daughter was working on her Gold Award many years ago. She found all the resources she needed right in her community to achieve her goal.  She was willing to look for information and help and by doing so, she not only learned a great deal, but was able to give back to the community.

One of our valuable resources is right in our senior population.  They have lived through many of the things we only think about.  They have owned their own businesses, or raised their families, or fixed that leaky pipe, and have so much ability and knowledge, yet many times we forget to ask them for guidance and help and information.  So use the Free valuable resources that are available to you and remember to play it forward.
